Friendship death

First year
was the meeting
It was out of the blue
you had no intention of getting close
but like a moth to a light, you were drawn in
he showed you he understood you more then anyone
and promised to always be there
days gone by and you realized, you were in love
you became closer and helped him through many things
soon enough, you guys turned into lovers


Second year
you and him been through so much already
though hes broken your heart countless times
you stay by him, forgiving him for the mistakes hes made
holidays come and go and you spend it with him
you only wished you guys could be more
you watch as he goes through lovers
and you could only wish to be his again
to hear his voice, telling you the lies you so easily believe
but so easily those lies became harmful
and without really realizing it, you began hating your life
because of him, you wanted nothing more then to die
but no matter how hard you tried and attempted, he was there to stop you and save you

Third year
another year gone by and so happily, you guys were together again
your friends hated it but it didn't matter
he was yours and you were his
you spent many months together and once more
you were on cloud nine
you swore nothing could split you apart this time
but so easily it was proven wrong
he once more hurt you and you called it quits
decided, he wasn't going to be missed
you remain close friends
both searching for what is called "Love"

Fourth year is coming around
and it seems you are growing apart
Slowly you wonder if its finally ending
The trust you guys built through the years slowly disappears
as he seems to pull away
you could feel the loneliness seeping in
with tears in your eyes, you realize
it could possibly be the death of your friendship

they come and go

Friends come and go through one's life, but we know its the true ones, or for better words, the real one that stays or atleast make a great impact in our lives.
The ones who stay with us through everything, the ones that go through hell with us and the ones that help keep us together when we feel like breaking down truly deserve the title.
but what about those who cause nothing but drama, do nothing but hurt others and treat them no more then bugs at their feet. Is there a title for those?
Maybe not a true friend, maybe someone who has yet to realize that someone is trying to help them or maybe, just an enemy in disguise.
we make enemies as fast as we make friends but its our choice or rather, their choice on what title they choose.
but most see the help that someone like that needs and they are willing to go through so much just try and open their eyes.
Sometimes, all it takes is a simple threat of leaving and they tend to snap out of that mind set that they are the greater being. I've personally done it more then once to keep someone in check, to make them realize, if they don't value friends they will "Forever be alone" -ha, made a joke there.
anyways, I do not have the heart to abandon people over the way they are, unlike most, I can see goodness past the bad exterior and want nothing more then to bring it out, to help them become a better person and to value the people more.
they just have to learn by others and by themselves that living a lone is never fun nor is it pleasant

What is a friend?
Let alone, what is the meaning of a real one?
People come and go, but few honestly stay around to get close to you. to fully understand one's mind, feelings, view's and things of that sort. While others just simply walk out like they had no real impact in your life. Life itself is hard enough, living alone makes it unbearable because we, as humans need interaction with others. We cannot simply live under a rock and let the world pass us by. Though we try, it cannot happen.
I've had my fair share of friends coming and going. Never sure whether they want to stick around me to fully understand me or simply judge me like so many and leave with some form of scar.
I can say death has taken lives of many that became close to me, betrayal has wrapped itself around few others and also love have kept many apart of my hectic life
So how do you define a friend?
Everyone definition is different but so many can easily say the same thing.
A friend is someone you can go to with tears in your eyes and know they will honestly go after whoever hurt you. Someone who will lend a shoulder when you need one, an ear when no other person will listen and a healing light that will remind you , through the darkness they are still guiding you.
Friends aren't here to judge you like everyone else in society but honestly accept you for who you are and appreciate how you are.
If they are your real friends, they would help you through everything and honestly accept your form of help.
I'm the kind of friend that will honestly accept the way someone is, whether its good or bad. I'm the kind of person that would look past the bad to get to the good and help the person eyes open.
I do not easily give up on people when so many have given up on me. I know the feeling of being abandoned by others and I know the feeling of being completely alone because it seemed like no one understood me but that didn't stop me from finding the ones I call my friend now. Take the time to honestly search for someone.
Someone who you can have a good converstation with. Whether its about the good things in life or bad.
Somone who wants nothing more then to make you happy and see that through all the bad things you been through, and through all the people whose hurt you there is still good people.
Let them show you that its never a good thing to keep the people who hurt you.

So, what does friendship mean to you?
Someone you cherish with all your being, or someone you take advantage of?
